One of my favourite parts of being a photographer is watching families grow over the years. Erin & Keith are probably my oldest clients (not in age, but in length of time they’ve been coming to me for their family portraits!) and I love going back over their family pictures through the years and seeing how their family has grown! We recently got together and I got to use the beautiful Kingswood Inn as a shooting location again! 11 years ago, Keith and Erin had their wedding pictures taken here, and Erin wanted to use the same special location for their family pictures. I always encourage my clients to pick a location that has particular significance to them, and Erin chose a wonderfully special place for their 11-year anniversary pictures.
Where would you want your family pictures taken? At a beach your family goes to regularly, or a place your family goes for walks? We recently had our own family pictures taken up at our family cottage – and in one of the same places my husband’s family had their family pictures taken throughout his childhood. I’m so excited to finally get pictures on our walls, and these will be such a lovely reminder throughout the year of one of our favourite places to spend time as a family. (Stay tuned for that blog post!)
Enjoy these images from Keith & Erin’s special anniversary session with their family. Erin brought books for the boys to read and a blanket that her Oma had made and given to them at their wedding 11 years ago – another special touch that makes these images even more special!
