Well, spring has come and gone (can you tell I’m a little behind in my blogging?) but I still smile every time I look at this session. Spring has always been my favourite season – the buds are forming and bursting open all around and there is just so much hope and new life all around that I can’t help but be joyful!
When I saw the magnolia trees begin to spring open I decided that a full session with Hannah was in order (she was nearly a year in these pictures) and began watching for the perfect tree whenever I was out and about. (You may have even seen my Facebook post asking about local trees in my search!) We finally discovered what now seems like an obvious choice: Kingswood Inn, a beautiful historic home that’s over 150 years old and situated on a stunning 3 acre property. Lucky for me, family members own the Inn and they were happy to let us run around for awhile so I could get the pictures I’d been dreaming of. I’m thrilled with how the session turned out (although I am a bit biased when it comes to the subject!) and after a long winter I came away from this session feeling completely and utterly inspired again. Bring on the summer and fall sessions – I’m so excited to be back at it again!
So excited!
