After an inspiring session under the magnolia trees with Hannah earlier this spring I was itching to capture more of the new life and growth around me. I decided that I wanted a spring tulip-themed session and immediately knew the perfect garden for it. Helen has created a stunning garden filled with tulips and many other flowers, and I hoped she’d let us play there for a bit. I put out a model call looking for someone around 2 years old, connected with Marley’s mom, and away we went!
Marley loved the watering can and through the entire session kept running back to us saying “I need more!” Pretending there was water in the can wasn’t good enough – she needed the real thing! (Big thanks to Helen for bringing a bucket of water and refilling Marley’s watering can over and over (and over!) again!) We played, explored, and watered everything in Helen’s yard, from the flowers to the trees and the grass until she’d had enough.
I was thrilled with how this session turned out (you’ll notice it’s a rather picture-heavy post!) and really thought Marley’s personality shone through the images. She’s fairly serious (you’ll notice that the only smile was for the cat!) and you can clearly see what she enjoyed doing. Please contact me if you have a toddler or child you’d like to have photographed – I love photographing this age group and really enjoy capturing their personalities!

Excited smiles for the cat!
